ARTISTS STATEMENT

I feel truly happiest when I am naked in natural outdoor surroundings, such as the beach, a city park or a country meadow. I like to enjoy my body and feel liberated, although I do not obsess about my shape. I am not the kind of person to attend the gym, however I enjoy long country walks, cycling and of course bedroom based exercise! I feel that this project is a great way of showing that in order to be confident with one's appearance, it is not necessary to conform to an 'ideal type', such as those often portrayed by mainstream media. Therefore, I feel public nudity in general is a great thing, as it is not only very liberating to break social convention, but it can also show what real people look like naked, as opposed to airbrushed celebrities/models, and prove that everyone has beauty in their own individual way.
