ARTISTS STATEMENT

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of nature. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the divine essence of nature that is within us. It is not just in some of us; It is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. Let me say in life I am pretty comfortable with who I am. I am a tomboy, and brave, and open minded, but, not when my clothes are off. I turn into a shy little girl. I feel unsure and self conscious of my natural form (don't we all?) So this was a journey. I had to allow myself to be, to stop judging myself, and be my own friend, to be brave and get over my inner critic that was telling me how stupid this was. This has changed me, really. I kinda wanted to get naked with someone straight after the shoot, I felt like I had something worth seeing. Yeahhh, it kinda transformed me. Who would have thought. I always wanted to have a pure and renewed connection with my naked natural form and you know what, this has certainly played a huge part in that journey. This is revolutionary. It's about empowering the divine feminine within us all to raise her sleepy shy head, to awaken to our power and our beauty, a power that is lusted for by every hetero male on earth. Why do we hide, why do we fear, why do we believe these old taboo theory made up by a bunch of men who wanted to control and contain the wild majestic woman in all of us?! RISE I SAY and stand strong and lovingly in your beauty. Hear hear.
