ARTISTS STATEMENT

En ole ujo, joten osallistuminen tahan projektiin ei ollut hankalaa. Yllatyin kuitenkin itsekin, kuinka helppoa ja hauskaa se oli! En ole osallistunut alastonkuvaukseen aiemmin, ja vaikka vaatteet ovat yksi intohimoistani, toivon etta alastomuus ei olisi tabu nyky-yhteiskunnassa. Olen viettanyt paljon aikaa vapaamielisten ihmisten kanssa leiriytyen luonnon keskella, ja meidan keskuudessamme alastomuus oli vain normaalia; miksi kayttaa vaatteita jos et tarvitse niita pitamaan itseasi lampimana? Suomalainen saunakulttuuri on myos vaikuttanut siihen etta minulle alastomuus on ensisijaisesti ihmisen luonnollinen tila, ja tilanteesta riippuen siihen ei valttamatta liity mitaan seksuaaliista. // I am not a shy person, so taking part in the Project_ISM felt like a fun way to challenge myself and discover new sides of my body and personality, as I never done nude pictures before. Even clothes are a sort of an obsession for me, I wish world and society where we live in wouldn't consider nudity as such a taboo, and link it so strongly with porn industry. I spent a lot of time with like-minded (or open-minded so to say) people camping in the nature and among us nudity was just natural. Why to wear clothes if you don't need them to keep warm? Also Finnish sauna culture has shaped my opinion about nudity. In Finland we can go to the sauna mixed, boys and girls together, and that's not about sexual encounters, it's just about getting into the hot sauna and then running to cool off in either in a lake or snow, and believe me, wearing even a swimsuit is far more uncomfortable than getting naked to do it!
