ARTISTS STATEMENT

They say that the work a society produces is simply a reflection of the society itself. We, as artists, are society's mirrors, and should take the responsibility with loving hands. By being a part of this project I intend to reflect and encourage the part of our society that accepts a young woman's body as a natural, beautiful thing, without demonizing and hyper-sexualising it. Being nude makes one vulnerable yet strong; you are a blank canvas yet one that is rich and full of meaning. I am a young artist-in-training exploring the beauty and monstrosity of the world through art, and if I can create art when I'm fully clothed, then why not strip down and become the art itself?
